Teams from around Australia will compete against each other for Titles & Prizes at Smokin’ Charity BBQ Competitions

  • Teams on site from 10:00 am Saturday the 9th November
  • Cooking Starts from 4:00 pm Saturday the 9th November
  • Public Onsite from 10:00 am Saturday & Sunday
  • Judging From 10:45 am on Sunday 10th November

The Smokin’ Charity BBQ Challenge Contest

The “Smokin’ on the Water” is a contest for the BBQ enthusiast who wants to prove to his neighbors and friends that he/she has what it takes to be the best of the best in our local competition. This event will consist of teams of one to four cooks cooking either Chicken, brisket, Pork or pork ribs. Teams are required to provide approximately 50 tastes (excluding food rescue) to assist in raising money for the charities.

Entry Fee:

Determined by Site Requirement

All teams to provide their own meat which will be tested as per competition rules. I encourage all teams to seek sponsorship from their local butcher in return you can advertise the butcher at your tent.

We will provide a 6m x 3m area,  a bin, water source and you need to supply the rest.

Become a Judge

Attend the judges course for a $125 Fee to be run on the TBC at the Event and then attend the competition from 8am (KCBS Guidance) until 2pm to judge the entrants see here for details.

Judging – Sunday- 10th November 2019 – 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

So that the festival is safe and fun for everyone, it is a must that you leave pets, skateboards, bicycles, radios, and rollerblades at home. Thank you for your cooperation!
